The big April update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now able to be downloaded and installed to your Switch console. Once you boot up your Animal Crossing save, you might be wondering just what comes included with this April update. Well, here’s everything you need to know about what’s new on your island.
Leif’s Garden Shop
Just like Sahara does in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Leif the sloth will visit your island on random days and can be found right in front of your Town Hall/Resident Services building in the square.
Leif will have a little cart out front that sells an assortment of foliage, including shrubs and flower seeds. If you’re looking to spruce up the look of your island a bit, Leif is your go-to spot.
Jolly Redd’s Treasure Trawler
Redd is back to selling counterfeit paintings and other pieces of art to unsuspecting villagers in your town and if you can manage to buy art that’s not bogus, you can donate it to the museum and open up a brand-new art gallery.
Just like Leif, Redd will show up randomly on your island but you can find his boat on the secret northern beach that’s closed off.
This feature isn’t as exciting as the others on this list but Nature Day is essentially a period of time where you can earn extra Nook Miles by completing nature-oriented goals such as gardening and watering your plants.
This starts today and ends on May 4.
This event will not commence until the month of June but it does come included with this new April update for New Horizons. You’ll be able to visit Harvey’s island and meet up with Cyrus and Reese, a married couple.
You can then arrange characters and take photos to earn wedding-themed clothing and other items.
May Day Tour
May Day starts on May 1 (duh) and ends on May 7. You can use a one-time May Day ticket at the airport to fly out to a secret special island tour. You’ll find different types of materials and items here –you might even run into an old friend named Rover as well.
To celebrate international museum day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the April update comes with a special event that lets you partake in a stamp rally at the island museum.
